I see that most of my readers and blogs that I follow use Blogger as their blogging platform. WordPress is great, user friendly, more efficient and yet you choose Blogger. This makes me wonder what is so good about Blogger than to WordPress and always there’s one question running in my mind and that is, why do you prefer Blogger but not WordPress? Well, you might ask the same question back to me… Why I prefer WordPress?
Ok, here’s why I prefer it. I have made a small chart which shows the comparison between WordPress and Blogspot.

go to the table!

You can see the number of red marks in Blogger column when compared to WordPress. Well this is not the end of the comparison. There are more and you can find them here.

Ok, I have edited the post by adding this particular chart, which gives the comparison between Blogger, Typepad, BlogWare, WordPress and Expression Engine.

Blogspot users, now its your turn to tell why you prefer Blogger. Well, I am opening a poll on this topic and please vote of your choice.

Well, you can see the U Comment, I Follow badge on my sidebar and one may wonder what this actually means…! Let me explain.

Most of all blogging platforms by default have this “nofollow” attribute enabled which makes search engine spiders/crawlers not to “consider” your comment link (name) as a backlink. This was mainly introduced to help stop spam comments. But it’s no good for the ones who leave legitimate or appreciated comments on blogs.

What can be done to this? If you think that your blog comments are not spam and you appreciate them, then you can help your commenters by contributing them something. But how? Simple enough. Remove the “nofollow” attribute and insert the “dofollow” attribute. To do this, just follow the links that are given at the bottom of the post by choosing your blogging platform.

Well yes, I do care for my commenters and from now on, commenters on my blog are rewarded/contributed for their comments that I appreciate. The links (name) will now be counted as a backlink from search engines like Google, Yahoo and others, as I have removed the “nofollow” attribute.
